Are massage therapists and hypnotists required to be licensed by the State of Connecticut?

Massage Therapists are required to be licensed by the State of Connecticut. My CT Lic.# 003056 is through the Department of Public Health. Hypnotists are not licensed at this time but we must be registered with the State of Connecticut. My Registration# HYP.0000134 is through the Department of Consumer Protection. 


Do you accept any insurances for your services?

Yes. Pease check the insurance page to view the complete list of insurances accepted at this time along with information regarding insurance discounts and guidelines.  

Is a referral needed?

No. The only item that is needed at each visit is your insurance card and you receive a discount off of my listed regular prices.

Can I use my insurance discount in addition to any promotions you are having?

No. You can benefit from whichever is the greater savings but not together.

Do you accept credit cards?

Yes. Master card, Visa and American Express are accepted as payment for services.

What should I expect during a massage session?

Prior to the session we will discuss your goals and the way you want to take the session (relaxation vs therapeutic). You will then be left alone to undress to whatever level you are comfortable at. You will be under a sheet during the entire session with only the area being worked on undraped. Upon completion, I will finish the session with a hot towel on your feet. I will then leave the room and meet with you after you're dressed and go over areas of tightness I found during our time together. I will then give you stretches to take home for follow-up care and go over any questions you may have.

How many sessions do I need to buy at a time? 

There is no minimum amount of sessions that are required to purchase. You may pay for just the one you scheduled or you may take advantage of my multi-session discount pricing to save on fees.

There are so many types of services to choose from, how do I know which one is best for me?

The best way to determine which service or services is best suited for your needs is to discuss it with me directly. With most of my prices the same, it makes it easy to customize a session specifically for your needs and desired goals. Many people need a combination of several types of massage to achieve their health and physical goals.

What is Reiki?

Reiki is a Japanese healing technique that balances the person's Chi or energy. We know it more as our blood and oxygen that travels through our circulatory system. During a session the client stays fully clothed and the practitioner looks for any discord in the client's Chi. By balancing the system, the client's energy can flow properly thus boosting their immune system and reduce stress.

I am not sure if I can be hypnotized.

Anyone  that wants to make a positive change in their life can be hypnotized. Basically, if you can follow the directions of "close your eyes and relax" you can be hypnotized.

How many sessions does it take for the hypnosis to work?

Most issues can be resolved in as little as one session. To stop smoking I have found it more effective to do 2 sessions. This way we close up any triggers that the client wasn't aware of that made them smoke in the first session.

I've heard that hypnotists can make you bark like a dog. Is this true?

No. You will not do anything under hypnosis that you would not do in your waking state. What you are referring to are the stage acts used for entertainment. If you think of it, most everyone has seen a stage act at some point in their life and know what to expect at such a performance. Yet they still volunteer knowing what will happen to them. Why? There are many reasons. Some people view this as an opportunity to be discovered as the next great singer. If people laugh, there is no harm done and they say the hypnotist made them do it. Others use it as an excuse to let loose and act foolish because their job or upbringing doesn't permit it and they use hypnosis to let go.
