What Is Shunyata?
Shunyata can be translated into english as "nothingness" or ''no-thingness". And although the english version is not at all appealing, in Tibet "nothingness" takes on an entirely different connotation.
Imagine the Universe before the formation of all the stars and planets. A sea of blackness or no-thingness. Now imagine all the stars and planets put into place with one great big glorious burst of love and energy.
That is Shunyata - to be in a state of no-thingness and having all the potential of creating something extraordinary and wonderful.
No matter where you are in your life you can become vibrant with all the potential held within your own mind, body and spirit.
At the Shunyata Healing Center, llc a variety of techniques, treatments and classes are offered to assist you on your path through life. To ensure that path is a healthy one, only organic products are used during your session.
Barbara P. Gaudio, LMT, CH first opened her office in 1997. She is a Licensed Massage Therapist in the State of CT (Lic.# 003056). Since her initial training at the CT Center of Massage Therapy located in Newington, CT, Barbara has received additional training in Fibromyalgia, Frozen Shoulder and Hip, Myoskeletal issues, CranioSacral Therapy, Reiki, Spa Treatments and is a Certified Myofascial Practitioner. She is also certified as a Mother's Massage Practitioner to provide the best possible care to women throughout their pregnancy and into postpardum. Barbara offers therapeutic massage for the entire family and spa treatments that aid in addressing specific health issues.
Barbara became a Certified Hypnotherapist through the National Guild of Hypnotists in 1998 and is a Registered Hypnotist with the State of CT (Reg.# 0000134). Since her initial training with NGH, Barbara has taken extensive training courses ranging from forensic regression to pain management. Barbara specializes in ADD/ADHD, Smoking Cessation, Weight Loss, Stress Reduction and Pain Management.
In 1998, Barbara became a Reiki Master. Reiki is a Japanese form of Energy Work that has been found to help balance the individual person along with improving their own healing process. Today most hospitals offer Reiki to their patients as a way to augment their care while at the hospital.
From 1998 - 2001, Barbara taught Meditation and Hypnosis classes at Middlesex Community/Technical College. She has had articles on Hypnosis and Reiki published both locally and internationally and is currently listed in Nationwide's Who's Who In Executives and Business and Empire's Who's Who in Business. Barbara has also hosted the TV program "Holistic Health Today" on Clinton Comcast for three seasons demonstrating holistic care to the viewing public. In addition to her clients, Barbara is currently an approved tutor at CCMT.
